There Is No “Right Way” to Begin
There’s no timeline you’re meant to follow.
No experience level you’re supposed to be at.
No version of “normal” you need to fit into.
Exploration—of your body, your comfort, and what feels right for you—is deeply personal. It’s allowed to be slow. It’s allowed to be curious. And most importantly, it’s allowed to be entirely your own.
Keep It Simple
You don’t need to jump into anything complicated.
Starting small can help you feel more at ease and in control. Think:
- Something simple
- Easy to use
- Non-intimidating
For many people, that might look like:
- A gentle external massager
- A body-safe lubricant to support comfort
- Options that prioritise ease and control
There’s no pressure to know everything right away—this is about discovering what works for you.
Focus on How You Feel
Forget expectations. Forget what you think you should be doing.
Instead, come back to yourself and ask:
- What feels comfortable?
- What am I curious about?
- What pace feels right for me?
That’s your starting point.
You’re Allowed to Take Your Time
There is no rush.
This isn’t about getting anything “right.” It’s about learning, gently and gradually, what feels good, safe, and true for you.
A Gentle Place to Begin
If you’re unsure where to start, having a small, thoughtfully chosen range of beginner-friendly options can make things feel less overwhelming.
Think of it as a space designed to feel:
- Approachable
- Safe
- Easy to navigate
No pressure. Just options that meet you where you are.
You’re Not Behind
You’re not late.
You’re not doing it wrong.
Once you let go of the idea that there’s a “right” way to do this, something shifts.
You can start where you are—simply, gently, and without pressure.
In the next post, we’ll show you exactly how to do that (without the overwhelm).
